Day 15: Last Volunteering Day

May 22nd, 2023 5:30 PM CDT Today was my last day volunteering at the Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition! To start off, I learned how to chop vegetables to make food for the opossums when I first came in this morning. I chopped five different vegetables, and it took me a whole hour! My arm was exhausted by the time I finished. Then, I actually spent the rest of my shift doing on-site research with my mentor's help! She prepared some documents and data on the animals rehabilitated at our center last year for me to use on one of my infographics. Because the document was a compiled list of all species, I had to count them one by one! It didn't take that long, but it felt scary first to count the number of different species in a five-page document. With her help, I drafted all four of my infographics! After coming home, I spent another two hours compiling and reviewing my infographics again to make some final edits. Finally, my four infographics are finished, tying up my Senior
